Our Mission
We believe every student deserves timely, well-documented support. SENScribe helps Irish teachers create professional Student Support Plans faster, so they can spend more time where it matters: with their students.
What We Do
SENScribe is an AI-powered tool that assists Irish primary and post-primary school teachers in creating draft Student Support Plans aligned with the Department of Education's Continuum of Support framework.
Our tool generates professionally-worded drafts based on the information you provide, helping you save hours of documentation time while maintaining the quality and individualisation each student deserves.
Why We Built This
Teachers spend significant time on paperwork. That's time that could be spent supporting students. We created SENScribe to reduce this administrative burden while ensuring documentation remains professional, consistent, and aligned with Irish educational standards.
Our SEN Expertise
SENScribe is built with deep knowledge of the Irish special education landscape. Our content and AI models are grounded in official Irish frameworks and guidelines:
- Continuum of Support - the 3-tier framework (Classroom Support, School Support, School Support Plus) underpinning all our guidance
- Guidelines for Primary Schools (2024) - the Department of Education's most recent guidance for supporting pupils with SEN
- Guidelines for Post-Primary Schools (2017) - post-primary equivalent used for our secondary school support
- NCSE Information Booklets - condition-specific guidance from the National Council for Special Education
Our SMART target examples and Student Support Plan guides are reviewed against these official sources and mapped to the 10 need areas used in Irish schools.

Data & Privacy
We take data protection seriously. SENScribe is designed with privacy by default:
- Client-side encryption: All Student Support Files are encrypted on your device (AES-256-GCM) before being stored on our Azure EU/EEA-hosted servers (West Europe) - during normal operation we have no technical means to decrypt your data
- Privacy checks for AI: SENScribe checks and redacts personal details in your browser before AI processing, while recognised diagnoses are converted into functional descriptions
- Multi-device access: Your encrypted data syncs securely across devices using your data password
- All data processing happens within the EU (Azure EU data zone; EU/EEA hosting in West Europe)
- Eligible personal accounts and their personal data are automatically deleted after 12 months of inactivity; school-controlled records follow the school's offboarding or deletion instructions
- These controls support GDPR Article 5(1)(c) data minimisation
