SENScribe is an AI-powered tool that assists Irish primary and post-primary school teachers in creating draft Student Support Files aligned with the NCSE Continuum of Support framework.
Our tool generates professionally-worded drafts based on the information you provide, helping you save hours of documentation time while maintaining the quality and individualisation each student deserves.
Why We Built This
Teachers spend significant time on paperwork. That's time that could be spent supporting students. We created SENScribe to reduce this administrative burden while ensuring documentation remains professional, consistent, and aligned with Irish educational standards.
Our SEN Expertise
SENScribe is built with deep knowledge of the Irish special education landscape. Our content and AI models are grounded in official Irish frameworks and guidelines:
- NEPS Continuum of Support - the 3-tier framework (Classroom Support, School Support, School Support Plus) underpinning all our guidance
- Guidelines for Primary Schools (2024) - the Department of Education's most recent guidance for supporting pupils with SEN
- Guidelines for Post-Primary Schools (2017) - post-primary equivalent used for our secondary school support
- NCSE Information Booklets - condition-specific guidance from the National Council for Special Education
Our SMART target examples and Student Support File guides are reviewed against these official sources and mapped to the 10 NEPS need areas used in Irish schools.

Data & Privacy
We take data protection seriously. SENScribe is designed with privacy by default:
- Zero-knowledge architecture: Student names are redacted entirely in your browser - they never leave your device or touch our servers
- Diagnosis generalisation: Specific conditions (e.g., "ADHD") are replaced with functional descriptions (e.g., "attention regulation needs") before transmission
- We literally cannot see student names or diagnoses: Only anonymous placeholders and generalised needs are transmitted
- AI-generated content is streamed directly to you and not stored
- All data processing happens within the EU (Azure EU data zone & North Europe)
- Account data is automatically deleted after 12 months of inactivity
- We exceed GDPR Article 5(1)(c) data minimisation requirements
