Accessibility Statement

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility. It defines three conformance levels: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

SENScribe is partially conformantwith WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Known exceptions include older PDF downloads which may not yet meet all Level AA success criteria. We are working to address these gaps.

Measures we take

SENScribe takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

• Include accessibility as a requirement in our development process
• Use semantic HTML and ARIA attributes where appropriate
• Ensure sufficient colour contrast throughout the interface
• Provide keyboard navigation for all interactive elements
• Test with screen readers and other assistive technologies
• Regularly review and update our accessibility practices

Technical specifications

SENScribe relies on the following technologies:

• HTML5
• CSS3
• JavaScript (React/Next.js)
• WAI-ARIA

These technologies are used in conjunction with the accessibility features of your browser and any assistive technology you may use.

Browser compatibility

SENScribe is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies and browsers:

• Modern versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
• Screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver
• Keyboard-only navigation
• Browser zoom up to 200%

Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, you may encounter some limitations:

• Older PDF downloads: Some PDF documents generated before this statement may not meet all WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria. We are progressively updating these.
• AI-generated content: Content generated by our AI may not always follow optimal accessibility patterns. We recommend reviewing and formatting outputs as needed.
• Third-party content: Some embedded content from external services may not meet the same accessibility standards.

If SENScribe is being used by a public sector body, complaints regarding the accessibility of the service may also be escalated to the relevant monitoring body under the European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020 (S.I. 358/2020).

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 18 August 2026. The assessment method used was self-assessment by the SENScribe team with automated accessibility testing tooling.

We are committed to reviewing and updating this accessibility statement at least annually.
